   im getting the r4 in a few days and was wondering how to put soem homebrew programs on my ds using sd card. also when they are on my r4 are they in the games mena or that moonshell thing.

   They'll just appear in the menu along with the games. Wait till you get it and you'll see how easy it is to use.
