Dvd 9 is just another term for dual layer dvd right?

    thanks for any help

Yeah, DVD9 is dual layer, DVD5 is single layer. If you're planning on making a dual layer disc, make sure your PS2 is not a real early model, because they can't read dual layer. Yes, your burner needs to be able to burn dual layer, mine is SONY DVD RW AW-Q170A. Burns all types of media, and I got it for like, only $30, works smoothly too.
