Ok so i have 2 AVI files on computer i want to put together with virtual dub but it cant find the decompresser "xvid" so the guide said i have to use FFDSHOW to find the codecs or something, ive downloaded the FFDSHOW but i have no idea how to use it, theres no guide telling me how to decompress these files or find the codecs, so i need some major help.

Thank you VERY much in advance.

Well you now should have it. Did you try again to see if you get the same error?

Are you just trying to join the AVIs? If so did you choose 'Direct Stream copy".
