Hi, my kids got PSP's for xmas. I bought Media Manager and I don't like it already. But I did try to convert Ratatouille, and I seen something online that stated it can't be done. Anyway, my question is, is media manager a good program? Is there something out there that is better for me to use and that is free, since I already spent money on that. I don't know what to do. We have a huge collection of movies, and I don't want them to spend their money on movies for the PSP's when we already have them. If anyone would please help me I would appreciate it very much... Thanks Nancy

I've never used Media Manager but since it's a Sony protect I doubt it will let you back up commercial dvd's due to the copy protection on them.
So first remove the copy protection - here's a free ripper that's updated to to handle the latest copy protection - DVDFab HD Decrypter.
Rip the dvd to your hard drive then try using Media Manager.
Or here's a guide using free programs - link.

DVDFab also has a paid version that has a profile for the PSP.
If you have Nero 7 or Nero 8 by chance - it also has a profile for the PSP.

Moving to a more appropriate forum too :)

I remember when I used Media Manager, I laughed and threw it away.
    Media Manager=Lame.

Just move the files yourself it's wayyy easier.

Convert it and put it in the respective video folder.

Music and pictures are easy too....I mean it's just drag and drop.

I use ImTOO for all my video stuff.
It's not free, well the legal way.

    But hey,
    removed

    @Artreyu
No 'veiled' piracy posts. Link removed too - that's not something you should be broadcasting on a public forum.

That doesn't make sense. If you have a problem I thought you could go to a forum and they could help you. I simply couldn't get my media manager to work, so I thought it was something I was doing wrong. You can do a search for anything on the internet that you want, but you can't simply ask for some suggestions?

I'm not really following your post but plain and simple Media Manager will NOT rip and convert Ratatouille or any other commercial DVD to put on your psp.

As for suggestions on what will see my post above.
