hello all, i am pretty new at this so i apologize if this has been covered before. i downloaded nero 5.5.10.7, from afterdawn, and it says the version i have only supports Memorex drives. is there any way (without buying nero) that i can get a version which will support my drive? if not, does anyone suggest another program besides nero? thanks in advance for your help.
might be kind of useful to know which drive you have. Where does it say Nero only support Memorex drives? Because that isn't true.
i have a toshiba sdr-6012 drive. when i go to the "choose recorder" option, my drive is listed with a line through it. when i select my drive and click ok, a message pops up saying that the version i have only works with memorex drives.
weird... you can try to use nero 5.5.9.xx versions, they work nicely. or try recordnow max. i use recordnow for my dvds and have no probs playing in standalone dvd players hope that helps peace seamonkey420
I'm guessing that you have an OEM version of Nero that is configured to only recognise Memorex drives. Uninstall it Go to the Nero website and download the trial for the latest version and see if that works http://www.ahead.de
