what does the little circular button in the top right hand side of the touch screen do when you go into slot one? when you press it, it turns green, and then when you press it again, it turns red. what in the world does it do? thanks for any input EDIT: and also, what do the orane and green horizontal lines mean at the main menu when the DS Simply is first loaded?

The circle is soft-reset, when green you can quit out of a game to the M3 menu by pressing a key combination (something like L+R+A+B+X+Y)

Dunno about the lines your on about though.

They fool a lot of people at first, thinking they relate to something. They are merely part of the design of the skin and are just coloured lines in the bitmap of the standard m3dss skin.

I guess most people get into re-skinning pretty soon after getting an m3 and forget all about them !

Correct, when green the key combo returns you to the main M3 screen.

Red disables it (useful if it negativly effects a game)

I don't know of any it currently effects, but i do remember on the LSot-2 M3's that it used to break online play in Mario Kart and stopped 1 or 2 other games from working, that was fixed, but not for a while.

The option to turn it off is there just in case.

Hmm, it's weird, the soft reset doesn't work with game for me. It does work when I launch moonshell though, but when inside an app or a game, it doesn't do anything.. Does anyone know why and how I can change that?

Soft reset is only for NDS roms, not homebrew. Make sure the circle is green before loading the game
