question about the new XGD3 disc format

    I read that the new XGD3 format for game discs is to thwart off backup making and that they hold up to 7.8 gb of data as opposed to the 7.29 that all the current games have. so won't we still be able to burn these new games to the same discs we use now? every disc I use says 8.5gb whether its a verbatim memorex etc.

    Turtle, I would assume you can still make your backups seeing as to how c4eva is making LT1.9 and LT2.0 and 0800 ripping firmware to handle just that.
