I was wondering about a few settings in DVD Shrink.

1 - Why would you use or not use "logical remapping of enabled streams"?

2 - Why would you use "Read 32KB blocks" as opposed to the default 64KB?

3 - Why would you use or not use the Adaptive Error Correction? And if you do use it, which setting is best? The help file isn't all that informative on this topic.

logical remapping of streams is enabled by default and really should be left alone unless you are having problems with subs.

Adaptive error correction is a setting that determines how the files get compressed during transcoding. I almost always use max smoothness. But for a detailed explanation of what happens in each setting, check out the posts by bigorange and Granpaw in this thread.......

Thanks. This really helps. I haven't been using the additional enhancements. The movies look fine to me by only using standard analysis or deep analysis.

Have you ever tried the other settings? I'd probably be more apt to try the smooth setting.
