I've been backing up my kids DVD collection using DVD Shrink. No more wrecked originals. Works AOK on my 2 set tops and 2 PCs. But my son took one to his day care lady's house today, who has a Playstation 2. Reports are it wouldn't play!! Is this "normal"?? Does the PS2 need to be mod chipped or modified in any way, to watch burned DVD-R discs?? I am creating "region free" discs by selecting all areas in DVD Shrink.

    Thanx
    E

I may be mistaken, but I believe that dvdshrink changes the dvd somehow so that the ps2 can't properly read it. I know a 1:1 copy of a dvd to dvd-r will play just fine in a ps2 w/o any kind of modification.

ps2's can lay dvd -r discs with no modification you may want to try a different program just to see if it is dvd srink
