Long story short- my 360 got jacked up by a "repair man". I took it to get the RROD repaired and somehow, it appears my motherboard got swapped out because I'm unable to flash my drive. Whenever I try to play any games, I get the "play DVD" screen. Now, apparently Coolrunner is my only option. So, here goes: is the Coolrunner board the ONLY thing I need to purchase? I'm fairly competent in soldering so I'm not too worried about it and seeing as my box is screwed any way, I'm not worried about screwing it up anymore. I see there are some great tuts so I really just need to make sure exactly everything I will need to buy. Also, once I do this, how will my games play? From an external drive?

you will need a coolrunner and a nand-x or a demon when it comes out. although i think i remember something about being able to use a lpt-programming cable instead of a nand-x. your games will play from an external hard drive or from the internal hard drive. i am using a RGH trinity and the install could not have been easier. i just looked it up and the lpt jtag cable is about $13.25 or £8.95 so if you are on a budget or just dont have a need for a nand-x, this is probably the way to go.
