I think only a Pro could answer this question. I have a VCD and i convert it to svcd using WinAvi, then i took those files and put it into my NeroVision Expressto make a DVD. But the file was too big so i planned to write ir into my hard drive and compress it using DVD shrink. Everything was going smooth like i planned it to be. But when i click the wirte button. A message says "Unable to prepare dat for recording: Prepare session failed: Transcoding of video failed." Then another messgae said "Diagnosing Problem." What have i done wrong. If anyone could help me, i would be truly thankful

So Shrink compressed Mpeg 2 files? If so you already have DVD compliant files which you can burn directly. If Shrink did not accept the files then they were not DVD video compliant in the first place. Not all Mpeg 2 files are DVD compliant and NeroExpress will not do the converting. You must convert them first to DVD compliant files before using Shrink. I think this will do it:-
