Let me know if this happens to anyone else, but when I use Dr. Divx, I find that using 940Mbps with single pass encoding, at normal speed gets me the best quality for some reason. I know that it shouldn't but, the slower I encode the worse everything looks and sounds.

    Yikes!
    Where to begin?
Oh never mind (it's all been said before).
All I will say is, your supposition is inaccurate.

The only thing I wrote that was incorrect was that I encode at 950Mbps and not Kbps. Other than that everything I said was accurate. For some reason the video quality look a lot crisper and smoother with just a basic quick encoding and not something that takes a million years. This only happens in Dr. Divx tho.
