I just bought 8x G05 riteks which are supposed to me good. Now I need to get shrink to burn them at 8x...

Before when I used 4x Fuji's and set the burn speed to maximum... it said "started at 6x."

Now when i use my riteks and set it to maximum it sais "started at 4x." I need this speed... like tonight.

By the way, I am using shrink with nero.

PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO SET THE BURN SPEED HIGHER!!!

    Hi Bangerang
Burn speed is dependant on a few factors
The processor speed - a PIII may not burn at 8X
Aspi layer - if the drivers are not all the same version can create problems see Praetor site at http://www.hazza.dsl.pipex.com/faq.htm#ASPI for a guide and the file
    DMA see for details http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/storage/IDE-DMA.mspx
Firmware - you always should have the latest firmware not knowing the model makes it difficult to supply a link
Defrag - if your hard drives are fragmented it will be hard to feed the data fast enough if the file pieces are all over the place. I defrag at least once a week
    I hope this helps
