    Hi.

I downloaded an .iso file which is a video tutorial. There are various files in Quicktime format which give me audio but no video - "You may experience problems playing a video track because the required compressor could not be found". I went to Quicktime's site so it could check my installation but none of the pictures on that site would open for me and so I could not check if Quicktime Player is installed properly. It is not something I have used before.

I have read that installing too many codecs can cause conflicts and my system is operating well at present. Is this correct?

What might I do to get the video to play? Is it possible this tutorial was made for a MAC? or should a PC play it equally as well?

    Julie

Okay, for those who were stuck where I was ...

I downloaded quicktime's latest player and in the audio settings told it to use Direct Sound and I now have both video and audio.
