Ram overload

    i have windows xp Yeah when i open my taskbar when my computer is running slowly i see that most of my programs are overloading on the ram the main programs that seem to overload big time are explorer.exe,svchost.exe(system)Svchost.exe(network services)svchost.exe(owner) Aim.exe and yahoo messanger,sometimes iexplorer.exe fails to close when i exit the internet explorer and then it starts to really overload why is this happening i have defraged the computer many times so there is no possible way its that.what can i do to stop this i ever had programs shutoff during startup like the ones that were not needed what can i do to help this?

    you can always buy more ram to increase your performance.
