I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit and i experience random lock ups/freeze/hanging when xfering data.

It doesn't always hang. Sometimes it'll be like hang free for a few hours then start up again...

Anyone else know the cause of it?

    My comp specs are:

Intel Core Dual Core CPU @ 2.40 GHZ

4 Gigs of Ram (Vista only counts 3.5 gigs thou ><)

    Radeon X1600

    2 x Samsung (HD501) 500 gig hard drives

Creative Audigy 2 ZS sound card

    Gigabyte P35-DQ6 Motherboard

When I had a similar problem, it was caused by one of my SATA drives. I never fix the problem, until I removed the offending drive. The SATA drive in question I use as an external drive now and will sometimes crash windows explorer when transfering data no matter which computer it's hooked up to.
