I want to standardize my id3 tags, to just show artist and title of song. Right now, using my slimp3 I get the track number, album, artist, genre, etc etc I don't need the track number taking up the first three spaces of the display, and don't want or need the album title in there either. Does anyone know of a program to run multiple files through that will convert the mp3 tags to simply the artist and title of song by deriving that information from the file name? I don't mind paying for it if there is no other way; doing one song at a time over 60,000 songs, I'll be dead before I finish it. Right now, with the slimp3 my listings have all kinds of crap in the information listed.

Seems to be working, but I seem to have to strip the old tags first. Oh well, at least it works. Thanks. Lets see, about 60,000 songs, strip first, maybe 3 seconds a strip, 180,000 seconds. that's 3000 minutes. That's....50 hours or so. But at least it's automatic. Should be done in about a week!
