I'm using deep burner and when I select that i want to burn a DVD it gives me these options:

    Create a multisession disk
    Append session
    No multisession

Maybe I am retarded but I don't understand what these mean. Thanks in advance.

If you are just backing up a DVD always choose 'no multisession' - you should be able to set this in 'options'.

Well what if I have a movie that I created and I want to put it on the DVD. Meaning, I am not backing a DVD up, just creating one from files on my comp.

Basically... I just don't understand what they mean by multisession.

You still use 'no multisession'. Mulitsession is only used for some +R discs/recorders which allow you to record a second session on the disc in addition to the first if you have enough space. However most DVD players do not support multisession so always avoid it.

Thank you SOO much. That explains a lot. Now I know why my DVD+RW worked, but my DVD+Rs would never work. I'm so happy. =)
