I know this may seem ridiculous but how to make a plain old data cd with Nero Burning Rom? Not ISO, not UDP. Just plain uncompressed files on CD. I have Nero burning rom 7 and startsmart and when I click data cd it takes me iso burn. I have to use nero express to do this. Is this only way?
    Thanks again.

You can start NeroBurning ROM directly if you want. You can also change what application opens from StartSmart.

What you are referring to as iso and udp(udf) are file systems. It can get a little confusing when there are image formats that use the .iso extension, but as far as I know you are just burning files to the disc when you use the prescribed method.

Nero Burning ROM > File > New > CD-ROM (ISO) > Select options.

What is burned to the disc is an ISO image created by Nero according to the ISO 9660 standard, using the "compilation" defined by the user.
