    Hi

Can anyone recommend a good ISP in the UK.

I download quite a lot and so am getting hit by £7 charges for going over my limit.

So can anyone recommend one which has a very high 'fair usage' limit, or endless limit at a reasonable price?

    Cheers

If you are in a former NTL or Telewest cable area, get Virginmedia cable.

I have been with Telewest (now Virginmedia) since Jan 2001. You can literally download as much as you like. They have this new thing called traffic shaping which kicks in between 4 PM and midnight. I am on the 20 Mbit service (£37 per month). if I download more than 3.30 GB between 4 PM and midnight my download speed is cut to 5 MB for 2 hours. Maximum of 4 hours traffic shaping in any 24 hr period. Smaller limits for slower speeds, but you can still use it and there are no surcharges or limits.

    Details at their web site.
