   i know this may sound stupid, but is it possible to record my DVD's onto my computer without a dvd player. Is there any software i could but that will do this for me?

   you can rip the dvd to you harddrive using DVD decrypter. But, you will need a DVD drive for your computer. If you have a CD drive it will not work.
