Recording game emulator music on pc

    I was wondering if there is anyway of recording game emulator music.Im using a snes and megadrive emulator on my pc and would like to record some of the music.
    Is this possible and if so what would I need to use?? Any help would be much appreciated.thanks!!!

    What you can do is set up a wave editor such as Audacity http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/audio_tools/audacity.cfm and record the music right as it comes off of your sound card.

    Its a pretty handy little tool and is great for recording small projects here and there. Pretty easy to use as well. Make sure you get that enables exporting for MP3, I can't remember off hand but I believe it tells you how to..

    I havent tried the latest one.I do have the old one though.Thanks.I will give that a try
