I need to recover the hardrive from a computer with a fried motherboard. Right now I have the hardrive out of the cpu..but have the whole thing. Is there a way to plug in the hardrive to my computer and burn the info?.. Or do i have to take my hardrive out, replace it with the other one, then burn what needs to be recovered?..any help would be appreciated

take the hard drive out of the comp with the fried board. then put it in a working computer and just copy the data to a folder on the other hard drive

From the questions you asked, I would try to have a computer savy friend help you out.

You can pull that hard drive out of the bad computer and put in your good computer to recover the data. You need to jumper it as a slave, and connect it to the same ribbon cable that your existing hard drive is on.
