Hey, I'm new to this forum.

I recently found this video on YouTube. Its a recut trailer of the movie "The Shining".

I thought it was absolutely hysterical. So I want to learn how to go about doing this.

What programs do I need to accomplish this with other movies?

    :edit:

    lol

    let's see.

    you need tools,time, talent

    tools:

    a NLE(premiere pro, vegas, etc)
    a audio program (audition, etc)
a ripping program ( to steal the MPAA preview splash & footage )
maybe a good post-production program like AfterEffects to add Titles and such graphic work.

    talent:
need to be technically capable of gathering your raw footage
    basic editing skills
    a good idea
someone with a nice sounding voice for"voice over", to record a phony narration.
some good background music to mix with the above

    time on your hands.
