red start button on xbox help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i try to turn on my xbox it wont turn on on picture just a red light no mods on it but can you help me

 

If the light is solid red, it could be a bad eeprom image, overheating, or a general hardware faliure. If the light is flashing red, it is a bad/corrupted or empty eeprom. If you don't know what the xbox eeprom is, then get a pro to fix it, or just post it on ebay and buy a new one.

 

Mine is solid red but loads the evox and retail perfectly

 

chess0990, perhaps your bios is set to purposly turn the led red? thats what i set mine to do at boot. much cooler looking

 

well mine is flashing 3 red lights with green in middle

 

ah you have a 360. in short, your probably screwed. try it on a different power supply, outlet, remove hdd, try different av pack, etc... seriously, do the troubleshooting steps. it worked for my friend. if your still seeing red lights, call customer support(1-800-4MY-XBOX). it worked for my friend. if even they can't help you, best to have M$ fix/replace it.

Thats the beauty of a warrenty, you don't need to spend any money. Just call 1-800-4MY-XBOX, tell them your 360 is broken, and they will send you a box to send your 360 back in. They will either fix it, or send you a refurbished one in 1-3 weeks.(they say 1 week or so, but they are liars lol)
