Hi, i have 2 699MB AVI files and when i try to burn them onto DVD it says 4.45GB space used, 0.07 over the standard DVD size! So if anyone can tell me how i can reduce the file size of any of the 2 files, that would be greatly appreciated, also take into account i only need to reduce a small part. Thankyou

If you use VSO convertx then you can set it to be a standard dvd-5 size, and it will never go over.

2 * 699 = 1398MiB or 1.37 GiB, well bellow what a DVD5 can fit. Your problem isn't the size of the files it is the fact that you are converting to DVD video (wrong forum) and have set the new bitrate to high for the length of the source files. Reducing the size of the source files would not change their length and therefore not solve your problem.

Run the DVD folder through DVD Shrink.
I've done that with TV episodes where they were slightly over the limit for a regular DVD.
