I recently had a PSP with 2.71 and Dev Hook brick on me. I have a PSP on the way that has 3.40 OE. Will I need to reformat the memory sticks? I didn't want to accidentally screw that Firmware up as soon as I get it.

formatting memory sticks has nothing to do with the firmware/flash memory.

it is always a good idea to format the MS for a fresh start as it cleans it up and generates any folders you need...

Thanks man. I can't wait til I get the new PSP. I've got the old one as a door stop right now. Course I'll probably see if there's any takers on ebay for the brick.

People on ebay offer unbricking services, for me its around £25 be just over $50 for Us id imagine, maybe less as things often seem less in the us.

Seems worth doing if you can get it sorted and then sell it on
