Hi! I've just bought a brand new NEC 3500A DL DVD+-RW burner. It seems to be nice and stable. Since I live in Europe the player is set to Region 2, and it's possible to change the region settings for additional 4 times until the burner permanently locks itself on the last setting. I know that there is a Region Free hack FirmWare out there, but I won't use it just yet. I was wondering how does region settings effect burning of the discs? I mean, does the region-thing only concerne reading and copying of original discs or does it even mean that if I made my own DVD-disc will it also be only playable on stand alone DVD-players with same region settings? Thanks in advance!
