I currently have a magic 3.1 modchip installed but i am finding it a bit unreliable. i was wondering if it was possible to remove (unsolder) it so i can install another mod chip.

yes it is possible to take out the chip with a desolder braid. Why would you want to uninstall it? i have a magic3.1 and im very happy with it.

Did you install the chip or did you get an installer to do it?

The way i got my chip out was to use a duck's beak and just yank it out! hope this helps!

Just pluck the wires out or just desolder it

magic 3.1 is not unreliable. it is unreliable if you solder it wrong. It is one of the best ps2 modchip out there.
