    HI,

Couple of days ago i dropped my sony monitor on a pointy edge of my PC and damaged it bigtime. now if i turn the monitor on there's nothing but a kind of a white back light. Can someone please tell me how to replace the LCD screen or if it's even possible to get this repaired my self?

    Thanks a lot

It's "buggered" as we say where I come from. LCD panels cost a lot. Like around 95% of the price of a monitor. The cost of repair would be around the same as a new monitor. Maybe more. It's not worth it. You must be a mighty careless person!

This happened to my friend (with a £900 3007WFP-HC). This is what insurance is for though, as he can get his replaced for free as he bought accidental damage cover. If you didn't, it's off to the shops I'm afraid.
