Replaced My Factory Disc Drive With Benq Of same

    if im not looking to play backups do i still have to flash my new drive?

    Yes, you have to get your key from old drive and flash it to new one.

    no, you do not have to flash it, just change the pcb boards out if you are using the same model, you will be fine.

    so just solder my old board onto my new drive?

    yep as stated. Altough, dumping the keys and flashing with stock FW is 10 times faster.
