    hello all ,

my daughters nintendo ds ( phat version ) has a broken hinge on the right hand side , if i buy a replacement shell ( phat version ) is it easy enough to rebuild the nintendo ds using a new shell ?

the nintendo ds still works perfect but it has a broken hinge and i would like to fix it by using a replacement shell.

i am used to opening up xboxes but have never opened a ds is it easy enough .

thanx for any replies , woof811.

It's a nightmare, old chap. be prepare to lose your rag a few times:)
    .
these instructions & pctures might help, althought it's for the DS lite:

make sure you have a tiny little screwdrivers, and do it on the floor, with no clutter lying around, coz those wee screws & springs like playing hide & seek.
    .
took me about 3 hours the 1st time.
    good luck.
