the law says you are innocent til proven guilty so they have to prove that you were downloading things that you shouldn't have so stand your ground as they are using the guilt trip on you!!

as ddp said, stand your ground...innocent until proven guilty. make them show you proof of what you've done before you pay.

say, i know a thing or two about sniping. and about making people disappear. what's the name of the specific person prosecuting you...the lawyer or officer or executive? do you know?

I think you had better ask them, or your attorney.

yeah, definately talk to an attorney, but from what I've heard they prosecute you for sharing files over DLing them. its like the difference between buying weed (misdemeanor) and selling weed (felony).

I myself have been sent papers about the RIAA lawsuit. What does the settlement papers say? What did you do and who did you contact to get settlement papers.

I don't know where you live but in Holland the law states that downloading films etc. is not illegal, sharing them is !!

so like all the others say, consult your attorney !!

best of luck to you !!
