I was wondering what I need to do to rip a dvd movie to be played and stored on my PC?

I have DVD Decryptor, DVD Shrink.

I was looking for a little more info on how to do it. Do you rip them to an ISO image or to a file? Do you have to encode them so they play as a regular DVD? Do you have to have a specific DVD viewing software package?

I am new to this...So if anyone can help...I'd appreciate it.

    Thank you!

decrypt the dvd with dvd decrypter and open the decrypted files stored on c: and there you go,you have a working copy of a dvd.

Thanks...I did my ripping as usual and burned to the HD instead of the media and used Power Dvd and it works fine.
