I tried ripping an iso file from a DVD as I couldn't burn it when I ripped Xvid movies, but the iso file is over 6gb and the DVDs I have are 4.7 GB! Is there a way of compressing it to fit on the disk?

    Cheers

Can you explain what you mean by Xvid movies? Is this a data disc?

That's because pretty much all the DVD's that you'll find are on dual-layer discs. Try to download DVD shrink and use that to compress the movie size to fit on a standard, single-layer DVD.
