    @attar,

hey attar, i've tried that program, not real good at that sort
of thing, i could not figure out the way to do it, and their
guide sucked bad, and they wouldn't answer their emails either.

do you know where there is a easy good guide for that program?
guess it's a bit more complicated than i thought..

well anyway thanks ahead of time...........

    gday.........

hello looking for some asst. on this ...........

i'm trying to do as murasame(rip audio only from DVD)
    downloaded and tried the http://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.htm
got it to work some what, there seems to not be a guide that says
    much ect........did a little bit.........

then i tried DVDDecypter didn't know it would work at all but it
did to a point, end up with a few different files...

was able to get the AC3-file out of it but it was only one huge
file didn't know where to go after that.....

then tried it a different way in DVDDecypter, such as split into
seperate chapters, which it did but i ended up with ...

    MPEG files
(such as VTS_01_CHAPTER_02_1 ---through VTS_01_CHAPTER_19_1 and such.
    that were playable in
Power DVD Program on my computer, but large and needs to be converted
to WAV, files to be able to be burned on a CD, to play in the car.

just need a little asst. here, looking for a freebie program to pull
    audio/convert/burn to cd......

if someone has any imformation would be greatly app.

    thanks again...............

All the program does is extract the audio from a video.
If it's a large video then the mp3 that you get is going to be large too.
What you have to do is import the mp3 into a program where you can select parts you want to keep.
Load the file into Audacity, play the file and select sections of the sound that you want.
Save the parts as MP3 or WAV and make a CD with Nero or any other app.

    Audacity

DVD Decrypter is old and will not rip newer DVD's.

Either rip the DVD to a folder or let AoA read the disk directly.

    Run AoA.

Click 'ADD FILES' and browse to the ripped folder (or the drive) and open the 'VIDEO_TS' folder.
Select 'All Files' from the drop down menu to show the contents of the folder.
Select the VOB files starting at 'VTS_01_1.VOB and down to the last one in the sequence.
When they are all showing in the window, highlight one (check the box to save as MP3) and click 'START'.
The MP3 file will be saved in the output folder.

When the MP3 files are all in the folder, quit AoA and run Audacity.
Import one of the MP3 files and edit.

    VTS_01_3.VOB 15:46 vob MP3
    VTS_01_4.VOB 00:-1 vob MP3
    VTS_01_5.VOB 15:46 vob MP3

VTS_02_1.VOB and VTS_03_1.VOB are probably menus or FBI warnings, generally it's the VTS_01_x.VOB files (about 1GB each that are the movie).
    Have fun.
