I have a few concert DVDs from which I'd like to convert the entire audio track to MP3. What's the best way to do this? (can I use smart ripper?)

i am sure there may be an easier way to do this, but i will outline one way that will work. use smart ripper or decrypter to rip the dvd. use avi2dvd to create a dv2 file, use tmpgenc to convert this to mpg, use virtual dub to load the mpg, then file, save wav. use any mp3 converter to convert wav to mp3. like i said, this is probably not the easiest way, but it will work. hmmmm, wait a minute, in tmpgenc, for the video input source, leave blank and only choose the dv2 file for audio and that will give you a wav right away without having to use virtual dub to strip the wav. it'll save you a few steps. i'm sure the doc knows a better way.

use smartripper and stream processing to get the ac3
then use "besweet" or "headache" to get a mp3 from this ac3
