I purchased a new I/O magic Dual format double layer dvd burner. I made a backup copy of Lord of the RIngs I purchased with DVD shrink without a problem. I put a new release blockbuster dvd in to watch on my PC and the new drive does not recognize it. The dvd works fine in a standard dvd player. Anyone have problems with this?

    Hey joncombat,

I would get AnyDVD and DVD Decrypter in order to get that new release encryption broken.

Shrink won't always work in order to back up dvd's.

Your best bet would be to have

    -DVD Decrypter
-Shrink (in case you need to shrink the movie cause it is too big)
-Nero (if you are going to burn it)

But definately get AnyDVD and/or DVD Decrypter, and the problem should be fixed.

    Hope this helps!

    ;)

Is the disc dirty or scratched? What program do you use to view dvds?
