Can anyone help a newbie? I am trying to rip a 4 series TV programme onto 2 discs (too big to fit on one DVD-R).
The files have been converted from AVI in preparation to rip to DVD-R
the converted files folder has three files:
    Default.PLS
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
Then each episode has four sets of files (example shown for episode 1):
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO

I have ripped the first two episodes onto one DVD-R (included the VIDEO_TS.BUP & IFO files)It works fine.
But when I burn the second DVD-R my dvd player wont recognise the disc at all. Even when I play the second disc on the PC it comes up with the error message "unknown format".
    Any ideas?

    2 possible things to try:

    (1) Burn to a DVD9, or DVD-DL 8.5gb disc. Should have plenty of space for all of your files.

    or

    (2) If you're using Shrink 3.2, click on Open Files and located the saved files on your HDD. Go under Re-Author and add each to a disc. Once you press Backup, Shrink will compress the files to fit onto a DVD5, or regular DVD disc. Note: the more you compress, the less quality the final product will be and under Re-Author, you will loose any menus, if there were any to begin with.

Hope any of this helps. Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies, a great help.

I downloaded VobBlanker and carried out the steps as advised.

One last question. Do I rip ALL the files, including the ones that I blanked, as they have also been created in the new folder?
