Hey so I am on Rogero 4.21. Looking at the forums, many people think that it isn't worth upgrading to 4.30 because it is having problems with Multiman or something. Anyways, is it worth changing my cfw from Rogero 4.21 to Rebug 4.21? If so, can I just do a straight update from XMB (like 4.30 Rogoero) or would it be another way?

Quick question... how can I delete package files from xmb on Rogero? I use to be on Rebug 3.55 and was able to delete files straight from there.

    Thanks

you will probably have to use a downgrader... rebug has the 999 downgrader and rogero has one of his 3.55 cfw to downgrade... using either of them will get you to the 3.55 so you can install rebug... not so sure about that... try to install rebug using recovery.... as for rebug its more stable than rogero... theres plenty of options that rebug can do... like converting to dex is one of them to use the full features of rebug... selecting what features you like and giving you the debug options for everything ... the tool box that comes with it is full of options to set... i like rebug more than regero and yes rebug features all the stuff as normal fw of sony so playing online is working so is game updates...

Oh thanks for the reply. So I can't just change my FW straight to Rebug since Im already on Rogero? I have read that Sony is banning (or something of that sort) people on cfw so just how safe would it be on Rebug 4.21? Would I be pretty safe from being banned if I got Multiman Stealth? Lastly, I have been looking online and do not really get the point of DEX. I think its something like where it gives full access but like I said I don't really get it. From a practical aspect, what good is it for a normal user? Like what is special about it? Thanks again.

few steps... 999 downgrader > qaflag > make sure nothing in the drive > rebug 3.55 > rebug 4.21

no cfw is safe if you use homebrew... stealth multiman is good... you wont get banned by having cfw... you get banned by running homebrew like multiman...

while DEX gives you full control over the system it takes away few things the normal ps3 has... DEX does not have cinavia.. DEX does not play movies(DVD/BLURAY) but you can still stream movies and use showtime... DEX does not have PSN/SEN access... DEX does not update games... DEX can be downgraded to any DEX firmware to a certain limit set by the unit itself(the limit is the lowest version of firmware you can install)... the same apply to upgrading... DEX can run games from images compiled by PS3 generator from usb.. DEX can run games from network using Sony target manager all this w/o even using multiman... this is just a small portion of what it can do... for a normal user its quite a lot to take in.. the debug options alone can make your head spin.. the debug menu alone has 62 options... and pretty much any other option located throughout the XMB in the various locations... for the average user all this is not advised... unless you REALLY want one... and yes... DEX does have few CFWs to play with... to name a few DEX rogero 3.55 and PS3ita DEX 4.21.... and YES you can bring DEX online to use PSN/SEN with the right tools...
