Running in the background?

    Occasionally someone on this forum will state a second program should be "Running in the background".
    What exactly does this mean?

    Sounds like you mean AnyDVD. AnyDVD is a driver that runs in the background - removing the copy protection on the fly.

    A blurb from slysoft's site:
    AnyDVD is a Windows-based driver that works automatically in the background to unprotect encrypted movie DVDs. AnyDVD works best with CloneDVD and CloneDVD mobile

    So you can use this for movies that Shrink can't handle by it's lonesome or with programs like Nero Recode that don't have copy protection removal built in.
