OK, I'm sure since when. But my computer. an Alienware Workstation purchases perhaps a year ago, is taking for ever to run "start up scripts". When I turn on my computer it goes through all the windows XP things and whatever it needs to do and on the log in screen before you can log in it has a window and it says " running startup scripts". At this point I have to wait litarally about 10-15 whole minutes for it to finish. I have had many video gameso n this computer but i uninstalled lots of them in hopes that the time will the shortened. What is taking so long to run?? Help me please.
    Any responses will be appreciated.

This page at microsoft was the only thing I could find on this. It is for Windows 2000, but maybe it might help.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/256320#appliesto

At least I think it explains why. I do not think it relates to the games.
