its out now at the usual places (of course i mean the shops .. honest)
do you mean that the full game comes in DVD5 format? Are you sure nothings missing on the disc? What places?
dvd9 actauly saw it on golden dvd9
theres alreay rls spreading on the net... also dvd5 but its prolly same like it was with champions... they only read layer0 and totaly missed layer1...
but it said nothing was ripped. i don't understand
samething was said about champions... and yet in the end kalisto rls a full game on 2 dvds...
read some reports on newzbin that say this works fine
Was it ever officially announced as a dvd9 or did people just assume?
i've seen this released on quite a few sites
"In a bit of a twist of what was initially reported to many news sites from developer Rockstar Games, it appears GTA: San Andreas may have been released as a DVD5 disc after all... at least according to THIS release (4,499,767,296 bytes) by warez group PARANOiD."
i know people that download games, i've played it, and it works great, no problem at all, AND works with hdloader totally kick ass
i remember gta vice city was only 1.9gb on xbox, so maybe they learned some good compression techniques for their games.
grand theft auto san andreas usa ps2dvd paranoid (2.6G)
ya, that's how big it is zipped
Well you never know if its just the beta version. Same thing with Shin Megami Nocturne. People thought the one over the net was the real thing until the retail one came up.
compression?... not really... file types compatible each to its own system.. a game can be full 4gb game but on pc it may only be 1gb... 2 exsamples
GTA3 ps2 full dvd5 w/o dummys 2.6gb
Vice City full dvd5 w/o dummys 3gb
both games appear on pc in a form of cds.. each game 2 cds..
gta3 install was only 1cd take only about 600mb... play cd was bigger holding the radio stations..
vice city 2cds aswell install takes a well 1gb w/o option of radio stations... install over 1.4gb is the included radio stations....
still smaller than the ps2... now for the xbox thats another story... file sizes even smaller cuz of being another file system..
IGN... Gamespot... TAKE2... Rockstar... Rockstar North... take a pick they all said thegame will be DVD9
comparing something that was beta and 2 months before retail date.. and a final game that was already in stocks... and already after gold state... thats like apples and oranges...
been playing this (not mine obviously ,but a less law abiding citizen aquatance)it works fine, can't imagine it would even start with half the data missing
edit.. works with Swap Magic
hi would the leaked version work on my pal ps2 with hd advance 2.0? thanks
yes use a RGB scart lead for color at 60HZ (£4.00 from argos).. i belive that virtualy all pal telly's with a scart connector support this feature
edit..btw its confirmed that this is the real version ,everyone must have seen the news reports (bit of irony there don't you think.."GTA gets jacked")
maybe the PAL version will be DVD9 with multi language support
Was the annpuncement of the game being a dvd9 just an attempt to reduce piracy? If people thought it would be dvd9, maybe they would have pre-ordered the game, instead of downloading a rip with sampled down video or with things cut out of the game.
all i seen was the exact same report on all of the game sites from rockstar, no seperate reports from r* north or anything.
quite a few people are getting the game, last time i checked, there were 9000 people still downloading it, and a bunch already have it, i haven't heard a single complaint from anybody i know that has the game, so i'm thinking it's real and complete
but even though i think that, the "complete" ness of it, is still suspect by me, until somebody atleast gets to the thrid city, then i'll believe it's full, i know a guy who's half way done the second city, so i'm thinking it's complete, but not totaly sure.
i downloaded the one that got ripped... burned it on reg DVD... im gettin my actual copy monday, the one i downloaded plays fine tho... just loads a little slow it seems...
so how do i burn it to DVD5 format then??
could someone send me the link to download the game my email is
