    would somebody tell me if this recorder/player will let me take my vhs tapes and copy them to a dvd. If not, is there a product out there that can do this?

    I take it from your reply that I can take my movies that are on vhs and copy them to a dvd with this Sanyo?
    I was not sure I could because I would think that this recorder would be more expensive than what it is

    Yes, you can copy from VHS or camera. I bought mine last week and works good.
