I never had a gamecube, so I am not sure exactly how this works. It won't let me save any gamecube games or roms onto my Wii directly. Do I need to buy a gamecube memory card? Or will a SDcard that the Wii takes work? It would be nice if I could buy a memory adapter that would work for both Wii games and GC games. If you have any suggestions please give me a name and/or link.

So I bought a gamecube Madcatz memory card. It lets me save gamecube games now, but when I go to the SRAM manager in an emulator it tell me it cannot mount the memory card. How do I save games in an emulator?

I had this problem and did the below...

Place the memory card in slot A and keep trying to mount it. It might take 5 to 6 times before it actually will mount it. Once it mounts the first time every time after that it mounted fine for me.

You can also try to place the card in A then switch it to B then back to A again. Trying to mount the Memory card each time you switch it.

To save the game you have to do the folowing...

Example: Legend of Zelda Link to the Past

Start the ROM and start playing the game as you would for the SNES. When ready to quit the game save it like normal then let the game go back to the Zelda title screen.

Once you are at the title screen move the RIGHT(YELLOW) analog stick on the Game Cube controller to exit out of the game and to the Emulator screen. Now go to the Load/Save game screen and save the game in slot A (Whatever slot you have the memory card in)

Now when you want to play the game and load your save file do the below...

Go to the ROM list and find Legend of Zelda Link to the past. Choose that ROM to mount it. Now go to your Load/Game saves screen and load the memory slot that the game save is saved on. It then will mount the save file with the game ROM. Now all you have to do his hit B on the Game Cube Controller to start playing.

Make sure when you load a game save you don't choose save on accident or your game save will be over written without warning and all previous data will be lost.

I did this a few times and it pisses ya off. So now I have 2 Game Cube memory cards and after I save a game file I will go into the Wii memory screen and make a copy of the game save to the other Memory card making a backup copy of it.
