saving movie to harddisk

    i´m using xp home and dvd shrink to ripp the movie from a orginal dvd but when i´m trying to save the movie to the harddisk the computer is locked up and wont restart before the power is turned off.is it a matter off file system or what? fat 32 ntfs?

    If your computer is locking up during deep analysis or encoding in Shrink you may have a heat problem.Have you tried using DVD Decrypter to backup to your hard drive? You might want to check all your fans Shrink pushes your CPU pretty hard.

    Do you have sufficient free hard disk space e.g., 8 to 10 GB?

    What mode are you ripping to - ISO or VOB?

    I have ca 100 gb free space it´s a new computer tried iso mode how can i change to VOB mode?Is there someplace i can check the cpu temp?
