i'm trying to burn Second Sight for ps2 (pal) now it says on swap magicfx that i must patch it like this:

    INSTRUCTiONS:
    ------------

Using $ony's CD/DVD Generator v1.50 software rebuild your SECOND SIGHT DVDR image by first
finding and coping to your desktop the CM_DVPAL.PSS file from the disc using Windows Explorer.
This file should be around 800k in size. Next, find and delete the following three files from
    the TRAILERS directory: CM_DV.PSS (10.98Mb), SSFIN.PSS (41.20Mb), and SSFINPAL.PSS (42.64Mb).

Now, rename and copy your extracted CM_DVPAL.PSS file (800k) to match each of the three file
names you deleted from the TRAILERS directory and replace the files in the TRAILERS directory.

In summary, this is what you should now have:

    CM_DV.PSS (10.98Mb) replaced with renamed CM_DVPAL.PSS (800Kb)
    SSFIN.PSS (41.20Mb) replaced with renamed CM_DVPAL.PSS (800Kb)
    SSFINPAL.PSS (42.64Mb) replaced with renamed CM_DVPAL.PSS (800Kb)

Once done, begin to drag and drop the files into CD/DVD Gen in the order below when rebuilding,
for example, CDVDSTM.IRX would go in first (LBA should be 1638000) and the last file will be
    SYSTEM.CNF in your image.

Finally, under the VOLUME tab for Disc Name use SLES 52670 for PAL. This 'modified' new image
will now work perfectly with Swap Magic v2.0 DVD Disc thanks to AceOSpades of PS2Ownz.com site.

    Enjoy!

Is there any other software that can be used to back up second sight ps2-(pal). I have a Plextor708a drive which does not seem to be supported by sony cd\dvd generator.

If anybody knows another software or method that can be used to back up this game please let me know.

Well i tried the fix for second sight a few times and i finally got it to work, but as soon as the backup loads the picture rolls from top to bottom along the screen. Kinda like an old tv when you adjusted the vertical knob, the picture would look like it was moving from top to bottom continuously on the screen. I can see the title screen fine and hear the audio, it just won't stop moving. Could this be a pal problem, or maybe somthing i did wrong while rebuilding the image??

The error messages that you guys are getting are normal. I have backed up a few games using the CDVD Gen process and I always get these two errors. Just click on them and let the program do what it has to do. Check out this tread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110498

    jamgasmic,
It sounds like a PAL problem. Where did you get your back up from (Download or Original)?

Hello to all.First, sorry about my english. My problem is that i have a copy of Second Sight that have completely unredeable sectors at the end of the disc, the executable SLES_526.70 canĀ“t be read.If someone can upload this file (about 4MB) or say me where i can download it will make me happy.

P.D.:To Tripwire: To join the five files you have, SS.000 SS.001 SS.002 SS.003 SS.004 in one SS.ISO file you can use Total Commander (a.k.a. Windows Commander), put the files in one directory,go to this directory in one window of the program, select SS.000 (ctrl + mouse click)and go to Files/Combine Files. It will create the big file on the other window and you must rename it to SS.ISO.

Ya i figured out my screen problem. If i use dvdloader in conjunction with the swap magic DVD 2.0 then it works. Not sure how, or why but it does. Only problem is a very small piece of the screen is cut off at the bottom. Not a big deal, just that you'll only see half of something if it comes up right at the bottom of the screen. Oh and also for some reason durring cutscenes, the video is way ahead of the audio, gameplay is perfect tho so i can deal with that!
