I recently just downloaded Windows XP service pack 2 via Window's Automatic updates (had to in order to install Windows office 2007) and along with it came a bunch of Security updates. After i Installed these updates, my torrent files could hardly connect to any peers. (btw i use flashget for torrent files) Also my internet browser slowed down a bit. (not sure if its the connection or if those programs slowed down my computer as well)

Can anyone help me out? It would be much appreciated.

I believe SP2 limits the amount of open internet connections you can have to 10. There is a patch for this made by a user named EvID, it works wonders. You can check it out by clicking here.
