sharing the connection

    ive put a standard f 2 way splitter in to my internet connection and connected my starview box to it . only now my ten meg internet connection that was downloading at 10 meg is barely 1/20 of a meg . has connecting the tv done this

    If you have a splitter designed for satellite then probably, also check you haven't got any strands of outer cable shorting the centre conductor in your plugs. The correct type of splitter (5-1000hz) is below or from ebay. The satellite type cut off some of the frequencies you need. I'm using a 3 way splitter for my DBox, TVDrive & internet and a speed test has just confirmed I'm getting 10mb.
