    Hi folks,

I've been using shrink and decrypter for years now without any problem whatsoever, but now ive purchased a new vista machine shrink wont work (even in compatability mode) so what i want to know is what are my alternatives for reauthoring dvd's so that the backup fits on a single DVD and the quality remains good?

I want to be able to remove all the other languages and menus etc to make sure the compression doesnt ruin the quality, but i dont know what programs will allow me to do backups like this?

Anybody with any suggestions please let me know, i'd appreciate the advice.

    Cheers

    Gary

Dvd shrink & dvd decrypter have not been updated in years. Use dvdfab HD Decrypter to rip the movie to your hard drive before proceeding with with dvd shrink.

Will this overcome the problem of DVD shrink crashing on vista? at the moment i cant get it to work at all as when i open a disk it simply stops responding.

Also if i use a decrypted file from my hard drive will it allow me to remove the content i dont want still?

    Thanks

If your problem is related to Shrink not being able to handle the ecryption...yes. If there's another issue...perhaps not.

If nothing else, make sure you're logged on as administrator and right click the Shrink icon, select the Compatibility tab and run in compatibility mode.

    Yes.
